Align Operations / Managed digital operations
Your website is in one place. Accounts is somewhere else. Enquiries arrive by email. Staff still copy information into spreadsheets. Reports are assembled by hand. Align Operations gives growing businesses ongoing technical ownership across the systems, automation and digital processes behind the day-to-day operation.
Those gaps become manual admin, duplicate data, fragile spreadsheets, inbox-based processes and tasks that only happen because somebody remembers. None of them necessarily justifies hiring a full-time systems team. Together, they can consume an enormous amount of time.
The same customer, order, job or payment information is typed into more than one place.
A business-critical process quietly relies on a file that has become more important than anyone intended.
Useful software exists already, but the information still has to be carried between it manually.
Approvals, requests, documents and follow-ups are managed through email because there is nowhere better for them to go.
Getting a useful answer means exporting, combining and checking data before anyone can make a decision.
Everyone can see things that could work better, but improvement sits between IT, operations, suppliers and “when we get time”.
The first step
A fixed-scope review of how the business currently uses its websites, software, data and digital processes — designed to turn a vague feeling of “this could work better” into a prioritised plan.
We look for duplicated work, awkward handoffs, avoidable risk, integration opportunities, automation candidates and places where a small system would remove a disproportionate amount of effort.
What you get
A focused 60–90 minute discovery session, then a clear view of the important systems, processes, handoffs and dependencies as they actually operate today.
Where time is being lost, data is being duplicated or a process depends too heavily on manual intervention.
Quick wins, integrations, automation and system changes ranked by practical value rather than technical novelty.
A sensible order for improving things, followed by a discussion of the priorities — whether Align delivers them, your existing suppliers do, or you keep them in-house.
Ongoing support
Align Operations is for businesses that need continuous improvement and technical ownership, but do not need — or do not yet want — a full-time internal systems function.
Keep an eye on the websites, applications, integrations and automations we are responsible for, and deal with issues before they become permanent workarounds.
Keep looking at the real operation, not just the codebase. Simplify steps, reduce duplication and challenge processes that exist only because they always have.
Connect existing platforms, move information safely and take repetitive rule-based work away from people where it makes sense.
Add the small tools, dashboards, portal features and workflow changes that make the operation better month by month.
Bring information together so routine reporting becomes easier and important exceptions are visible sooner.
Maintain a clear view of what should happen next, what can wait and which changes will create the most useful return.
Start with the level of ownership and monthly improvement capacity the business actually needs. Each service has clear boundaries, and anything larger is agreed before work starts.
3-month initial term
For smaller businesses that need somebody keeping an eye on the digital operation and making regular, useful improvements.
6-month initial term
For businesses with several connected systems, recurring operational friction and a meaningful backlog of improvements.
6-month initial term
For businesses that need somebody to take broader responsibility across suppliers, systems, priorities and technical delivery.
Monthly services are paid in advance. After the initial term they continue monthly with 30 days' notice. Reserved improvement capacity does not roll over, and larger projects or work outside the agreed service scope are quoted separately before we start.
Website hosting and standard website-care packages remain available separately. Align Operations is for broader operational ownership and continuous improvement, not simply a larger support bundle.

A good fit
The business has enough moving parts that disconnected systems and manual work are starting to become expensive.
The owner can see the problems but needs somebody technical who can understand the operation and actually implement the fixes.
There is not enough work for a full internal systems team, but too much to keep treating digital improvement as a side job.
You already pay for useful software. You want it connected and improved, not ripped out for the sake of a transformation project.
The point of managed digital operations is not to create an endless technology programme. It is to make the business easier to operate, give people time back and keep the systems underneath it maintainable.
